growing up on the east coast, summer was all about running around barefoot in the backyard, playing in the tide pools at our towns beachand riding the ferry to see my grandparents in their summer escape from the city.
climbing trees. roller skating. collecting mini frogs and lighting bugs. inspecting the sea creatures and seaweed and collecting shells. eating ice cream, hamburgers and corn on the cob. rainy days spent playing card games or drawing. no t.v. rule on our house, only movie night and which was usually a disney movie, Freaky Friday,Swiss Family Robinson, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang... oh how delightful it was. how did you spend your summer as a child?
this rhubarb pie makes for a perfect summer sweet. anyone have a good recipe?
um hello, is this not outrageous! Artist, Annie Morris created this clothespin dress for Christopher Bailey creative director of Burberry. I think there could be a "dress off" between this dress and the peacock dress I wrote about here. don't you think? (source another magazine, summer\spring 2007)
