May Wedding Photography

I adore this bohemian, countryside wedding and those cowboy boots! Can we say, rustic chic?
This sweet wedding was photographed by Brooklyn based photographer, Corinne Botz, of May Wedding Photography

"Tim and Lisa's wedding took place in the summer of 2005 at the Apple Barn Farm, upstate New York. They are both artists and their wedding was really fun, relaxed, beautiful, and creative. Their friends read poetry, and played songs during the ceremony and ended the evening with a bonfire."

How romantic and perfect is that?

Campground Wedding

Found this beautiful wedding via Saipua.
I'm loving the campground location in upstate NY as their venue and adore the flowers, my favorite, Saipua, of course.

A little Thanksgiving

Hosting Thanksgiving dinner?
Then you'll want to check out the little adorable flower shop, SAIPUA, located in Red Hook section of Brooklyn. They have started to take orders for Thanksgiving table arrangements - like the one pictured above. Prices range from $35 to $150 for centerpieces. You can bring in your vessel, or choose one of theirs. They also have a new shipment of tapers, brown and black.
Sarah and Eric, the creative team behind SAIPUA, not only make some of the most beautiful floral arrangements for every occasion, including weddings of course but they also dabble in a little soap making along with Sarah's mother, who overseas the production side from upstate NY.
Last time I was in NYC, I bought a bunch from here bringing a little brklyn to milan.
I sit and stare at the packaging on my desk.Too pretty to open up. Not to mention the beautiful aroma that seeps out filling up my studio with a scents of white grapefruit and bergamont....

Also, be sure to check out their blog here

WEDDING STYLE: Jackie O.

Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy's wedding dress worn Sept.12, 1953 when she married John F. Kennedy; displayed at JFK Library and Museum in 2003 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of their wedding.

Um. Can we say, Classic, Stunning and Elegant all in one?
This petite lady had style.

twigs and heather

Looking to preserve a bit of nature and carry it with you always?
Look no further.
The designers of Twigs and Heather
gather delicate plant life, cast it in silver making magical little pieces that look like they've grown straight out of an enchanted forest.

I think I need one of those birch bark rings asap. Or maybe I can hold out till
Christmas. It is just around the corner, right?
Maybe A. is reading this hint hint.....

Italian Vogue

a little Italian Vogue to start of your day......
Right now we are working on "home improvements". I just finished painting our front hallway, navy blue, and can't help put think that the cover image of the fall Vogue is to DIE for! A hand painted wall of birch trees would be perfect for our guest room but who has the time? Instead, I'm on a mission for similar wallpaper....
Anyone have ideas?
oh and the fashions on Ms. Evangelista are divine.......

I came across this gorgeous 1930's inspired vintage wedding dress from designer Lulu B via Grant-Wiley weddings. The designer took a vintage veil to create the beautiful delicate top piece of the dress.

Wedding Esty treasures.....

How gorgeous is this dress designed by Joan Shum?
I don't think I have ever seen one like it!
I'm in love. Sigh.
It's absolutely fitting for a winter bride, don't you think?

Birdcage veils

Vintage birdcage veils make a great alternative to the traditional wedding veil, not to mention, a bit more budget friendly.
Like these 3 styles that I found
here.
And who says you have to stick to the traditional white? I am totally digging this winter brides style....

Livia Cetti's Simple & Elegant Floral Arrangements

The talented, Liva Cetti, of The Green Vase, adds her magical touch to these two stunning arrangements fresh from the garden.
Just look how beautiful a simple branch of azaleas look when displayed in an all white vessel.
Gorgeous, right?

And I'm loving this arrangement of cascading purple and white clematis mixed with passion vine and ferns.
